Evolve EdTech was born in January 2020 as The EdTech Teacher. Australia was in the midst of a terrible bushfire season, the air was considered hazardous due to the fires and to top it off it was summer which meant it was hot!
The EdTech Teacher creator was sitting at home and thinking about his love of educational technology and how he could share his love and passion with others. After being inspired by several international edtechers including Matt Miller from Ditch That Textbook, Kasey Bell from Shake Up Learning and Kim Mattina from The Suite Talk Tristan decided to create The EdTech Teacher. With 2020 being a challenging year due to the COVID-19 pandemic Tristan brought forward The EdTech Teacher launch to help other educators with the challenges faced with remote learning due to COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns. Throughout 2020 The EdTech Teacher has developed and filmed a range of video tutorials (all available at the Evolve EdTech Youtube Channel), a range of infographics were created and The EdTech Teacher Podcast was born. |
Despite the challenges of 2020 Tristan was determined to continue to slowly grow The EdTech Teacher and hopefully inspire educators from around the world to try and implement new educational technology into their classrooms.
In mid 2021, Tristan re-branded The EdTech Teacher as Evolve EdTech. This re-branding resulted in a new logo, new colours and a refocused identity on providing edtech support to teachers across the globe. From the re-brand a new website was developed, which now features our growing collection of Jamboard templates, as well as our Planboard series collection of videos. Please continue to support our journey by following us on Facebook, tweeting with us on Twitter, subscribing to our Youtube Channel and visiting the Evolve EdTech website. Our goal at Evolve EdTech is simple - we want to share our love of technology with you, and inspire teachers to experiment and implement new and engaging ICT within their classroom. |
